Owner, Robin E. Berning LMBT NC#6001, brings her wellness philosophy to life at Simple Bliss. As a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist for more than 29 years, a Licensed Esthetician and Licensed Nail Technician, she also sits on the Advisory Committee for the Cosmetology Department at Wake Tech Community College.
Robin sets out to make Simple Bliss an inviting place that shows you how to incorporate salon & spa services into a regular routine of health and wellness. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Fitness Management, she believes that it’s never too early or too late to start taking care of yourself.
This philosophy, as well as her hands-on experience in spa management, sets Simple Bliss apart. Robin was instrumental in starting the Sugar House Day Spa and Salon, a premier full-service spa in Historic Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.

Devon Drugan – Licensed Esthetician/Make Up Artist: Devon is an NC native and graduate from Mitchell’s Academy. She has been an esthetician for 5 years with additional training in medical esthetics. Previously a makeup artist for Lancôme, Devon has a passion for making people feel beautiful! Her work has been featured on the Borrowed and Blue Wedding blog and she has also worked with breast cancer survivors and burn victims to help them feel more confident. Devon believes that we’re at our best when we feel and look our best and is committed to showing you that there really is beauty in keeping things SIMPLE.
EdwinaStrominger Reiki Master/Intuitive/Licensed Esthetician: Edwina was born an intuitive and an empath, along with many other gifts that have not yet been reveled yet but continue to grow. In 2004 she started her career as a licensed and advanced Esthetician and became a Reiki Master and Instructor in 2016. Edwina has volunteered Reiki services with Lifespark Cancer Resources in Colorado and it was one of the most profound experiences of her life! Continuing her education, Edwina will soon be certified as a Holistic Life Coach. It is her aspersions offer Life Coaching while incorporating Reiki sessions as well as other healing modalities. She also aspires to teach Holistic Healing and the importance of the full trinity of life, the mind, body, and soul. Edwina has been a healer in some aspect all of her life and will continue to develop her gifts in many different ways including meditation. She believes she was a Shaman in a past life and continues shamanistic practices today. Her greatest passion is the love for others and believes her job in this life is to share it and teach it!

Jeff graduated from The Medical Arts Massage School (Raleigh , NC) in 1997 where his focus included Trigger Point, Swedish, Deep Tissue and Sports massage. In the years since, he has also completed a multitude of certifications and coursework including: Thai Massage, Qi Gong Massage and Energy Healing, Myofacial Release, Shiatsu, Lomi Lomi, Yamuna Body Rolling (Phase 1),Reiki Levels 1, 2 & 3 and Reflexology. Jeff continues today with his training of Martial Arts, Pilates, Massage and Healing Therapies.
Jessie Carlson, LMBT #14884
Jessie graduated from the Center for Massage & Natural Health in May of 2014 and has been practicing as a massage therapist ever since. She has studied multiple modalities that all contribute to her integrative style – including neuromuscular therapy, PNF stretching, table thai, deep tissue, reflexology, aromatherapy, and more.
Jessie has also been a yoga instructor for more than 8 years and additionally works as a registered nurse in an emergency department. Her studies have given her several perspectives in which to view the human body and health. This background gives her massage sessions a depth of knowledge which enabled her to create a safe and supportive environment for her clients. As a massage therapist, Jessie maintains a client-centered approach to bodywork and works with her clients to find the most therapeutic techniques that support the most optimal outcomes.
